OBJECTIVE
The 150,000-square-foot PUMA North America headquarters in Somerville,
Massachusetts unites regional teams into one collaborative, design-driven
campus. Designed by Gensler, the space embodies PUMA’s “Forever Faster”
brand through open, flexible work environments that encourage movement and
connection. The project establishes a dynamic hub to attract and retain top
talent in the Boston market.
CHALLENGE
PUMA required a fast-track relocation that merged two offices into a single,
branded headquarters without disrupting operations. The design needed to
balance functionality with a high-energy aesthetic that reflects PUMA’s
identity and culture. Integrating extensive amenities and modern systems within
an active urban site demanded precise coordination and execution.
OUTCOME
The new headquarters delivers a vibrant, amenity-rich workplace with on-site dining, a fitness center, and a kid’s room for visiting children. Expansive outdoor spaces, including a 19,000-square-foot roof deck and 2,300-square-foot balcony, promote wellness and collaboration. The result is a state-of-the-art environment that strengthens PUMA’s culture and supports continued growth.
